Intense Pulsed Light  therapy uses a band of visible light wavelengths to treat different skin conditions.

• The red handpiece reduces unwanted brown or black hairs throughout the body.  Usually, an initial series of 4 or 5 treatments is recommended.
• The green handpiece reduces flushing and spider veins in the face, neck and decolletage.  It also removes brown spots throughout the body.  The red areas may be more red for a few days after treatment.  The brown spots get darker for about 7-10 days.
• The yellow handpiece removes brown spots and reduces brown or black hairs.  Healing is similar to that for the green and red handpieces.

For all three handpieces, an initial series of 4 or 5 treatments is recommended.  1 or 2 additional treatments may be desired at intervals in the future to maintain an optimal result.  Most patients are able to continue their usual activities without any "down time."  I use the most current Palomar technology (palomar is a leader in medical lasers), which makes the treatments safer, more comfortable, and more effective than many other IPL machines.
