Spider veins and small varicose veins can be eliminated by injecting them with various chemicals that roughen the lining of the vessels and cause them to collapse and to get absorbed.  This treatment is usually more effective than using lasers or intense pulsed light machines.  Bruising lasts several months to about one year, so it is usually best to treat the veins during the autumn or winter.
